Designed in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, this theatre was originally known as the Hollywood Playhouse. It was one of four major legitimate theaters built in the 1920s in Hollywood. It has had many name changes and was previously known as The WPA Federal Theatre, El Capitan Theatre, The Jerry Lewis Theatre, The Hollywood Palace and The Palace. It has a capacity of 2,000.
